The story of a cricketing legend

Hi! My name's Daniel. I know this because Mum writes it on the lunch bag she gives me to take to cricket on the weekends. You can see a picture of this below.

I think this day mum made me a peanut butter sandwich. It was a good day. Anyway, I want to tell you a little story about myself. Like all good stories, this one starts a long time ago, back when I was a very young boy!

When I was younger, I was a very special child. Mum used to tell me ALL the time that I was special, so it must have been true. She told me that I was good at cricket as well, and I got to play with some really good players, because of my awesome skills. Here’s me playing with good mate Joel Paris.

Here’s another picture of me playing against Australian cricketer Shaun Marsh! I threw the ball and hit the stumps and he was out!

Of course, all of this happened so long ago that I don’t remember it, but Mum says it all definitely happened, and here are the photos to prove it, so it MUST be true! Being so long ago, the internet wasn’t around, so none of these matches are up there, but they definitely happened! Honest!

When I got a bit older, I kept playing cricket of course. I was so good, that people wanted to stop me playing, but my Mum was smart, and registered me under different names every time I played! Mum told me that’s why all the trophies I have don’t have my real name on them, you can see them all here!

Mum said that the best competition in the world was the WACA competition, so of course that’s where I was playing. I was so good I got all the way up to Grade 4! 4 is the highest grade it goes to, so it must be the best. Here's me scoring a hundred in a big game!

After I dominated there for a few more years, I got bored with being so good, and I heard stories of a different competition, where the numbers went even higher! I thought I would have to give that a go, so I went to a place called “Western Suburbs”. They had numbers that went all the way up to 10! I didn’t think it was fair if I just started at Level 10, so I asked if I could play at Level 5. Mum had to speak to the coach very nicely, but they agreed! Of course, I dominated, and picked up many more trophies in my fake names, and after just one season, they were so desperate for me to play higher, they promoted me to Level 6!

That brings us up to date, I hope you enjoyed my story! I will post more stories and photos as my career progresses. Hopefully one day they will remove the restrictions against me, and I can play for Australia!
